Join me for an online workshop you won’t find anywhere else — learn how to varnish and frame watercolor paintings without glass! I will explain why I like this approach and all the steps and options available to archivally display your work without traditional matting and framing with glass. I will be live from my studio with instruction, demos of various steps, plenty of Q&A, and discussion.
No need to buy materials for this workshop! Bring your questions and a note pad for an afternoon packed with helpful information, demonstrations and tips.

• Rigid Supports: choosing the right panel
• How to mount watercolor paper or a finished painting to a panel
• Sealing the surface
• Proper techniques for applying varnish
• Using an isolation coat
• Acrylic varnish vs. cold wax

• Framing options
• Discussions on permanence, photographing art, acceptance by societies, shipping art, and more.

Each student will receive a list of all materials I use as well as product variations and alternatives.
You will receive a confirmation email once you have registered, a follow up email will be sent with the Zoom LINK and PASSWORD before the class starts.
